Home-mover Mortgages
When you're moving home, you want the process to run as smoothly as possible. Our team will take the time and stress out of finding the right mortgage.
Whether you’re upsizing or downsizing, your next home likely marks the start of a new chapter in your life. Your choice of mortgage needs to reflect your next property and your changing circumstances. We can help find the right home-mover mortgage for you.
How we can help
When we know more about your next move and your circumstances then we’ll consider whether it’s in your best interests to port your existing mortgage to your new home, or take out a new mortgage (with either the same or a different lender).
We will research all your options, talk you through them in detail, and answer any questions you might have. Once you’ve made your decision, you can sit back and let us take care of the application process.
It’s our job to identify which option gets you the best results. Your best interests and your requirements are what we care about the most.

Frequently asked questions
What is a home-mover mortgage?
A home-mover mortgage is the same as a standard mortgage. It refers to the process that’s involved when moving from one mortgaged property to another. It might involve porting your existing mortgage or finding a new mortgage with the same lender or different lender. As mortgage brokers, it is our job to ensure that the mortgage you choose is best suited to the property you are buying and your individual circumstances.
Can I move house and keep the same mortgage?
In some instances you will be able to, but not all mortgages are portable* which means you’ll need to find a new mortgage for your new property. Working with a mortgage broker will ensure that all options are considered including porting, taking out a new mortgage with the same lender, and changing lenders.
*a portable mortgage means you can use your existing mortgage for a new property
